CASEing myself for Muse Christmas Visions

Hi Everyone,

I had so much fun making my last Muse Christmas Visions card, that I decided to CASE myself. Besides - you people are not playing along and this is my last attempt to get you motivated ;)
You still have today and all of tomorrow....

I used an ARTplorations stencil for the trees. The cute die cut animals are from Flora and Fauna and the delicate star clusters are from Lavinia stamps. The sentiment is by Neat & Tangled. Just added a strip of silver tape at the bottom

So, what do you think? Wanna play?

Don't be a Prick

Hi everyone,

I saw this funny pun on Pinterest and I had to turn it into a card.
Stampotiques' cactus row was the first thing that came into my mind and the ever so useful Alpha Background is just the prefect thing to make your own sentiments!

I stamped and water colored. The ground I made with Brushos. Added the sentiment.
Pretty easy....

Happy Stamping!

Spotlight on Emboss Resist and Brushos

Hi Everyone,

I have my spotlight post over at STAMPlorations today.

I am using emboss resist as my technique. It is super simple and I always love the effect you get with Brushos or similar pigment powders.

I made two different cards, using two different blues shade for card #1 and only the color named gamboge for card #2. If you wondering about that color name  - I googled it for you:

Gamboge is a partially transparent deep saffron to mustard yellow pigment. It is used to dye Buddhist monks' robes because the color is a deep tone of saffron, the traditional color used for the robes of Theravada Buddhist monks.

My stamp supplies:

For the Birds, Trendy Butterflies (out of stock at the moment), Party Time, Bloom Happy, Stitched Nesting Dies

Curious to find out how I did this? Visit the STAMPlorations blog for a full tutorial!

Remember if you try out any of the techniques from our Spotlight posts and hook your project up at our Spotlight Project Showcase  you have a chance to win a $15 gift certificate (random drawing) OR your choice of 5x7 stamp set + a Spotlight Project guest designer spot (randomly drawn from the Top 3 picks).

Valentine's Day with Katzelkraft

Hi Everyone,

Happy Valentine's Day to you !
And what is better than saying I love you with a Katzelkraft card????

I used the Russian cats, but I modified the grey one a bit. Colored them with Inktense pencils and masked them. Then I sponged the heart and added the sentiment. Used a stitched die (SSS) to trim it and mounted it onto purple card stock.

You can get the cats directly from France HERE
or in the US HERE or HERE

Love you, guys!

Stampotique February Challenge

Hi Everyone,

we at Stampotique are in the second week of our February challenge - the theme is "make a bookmark".

Now that is fun! I love to read, but I usually use a little piece of scrap paper as my bookmark... Now I have something better!
Used my favorite Stampotique cats - the Kitty Squad and a piece of chipboard, to keep it sturdy. Colored them with Inktense and a white gel pen. Added the Alpha Background sentiment. Rounded the corners and added Baker's Twine.

Wanna play along? I am sure you also could use a proper bookmark ;)

It's Bean A While - So Suzy Stamps

Hi Everybody,

I made a coffee card with the new So Suzy Stamps release

My stamp supplies:

I will show you that even it you mess up a bit you can get a decent card with a few tricks.
Lets get started:

I stamped the cup and spoon onto white card stock.

Stamped it again and die cut the cup and fussy cut the spoon.

Added some coffee stains/splatters with a stencil onto my card stock. The nice thing is, that you don't need to mask anything.

Marked where the spoon will be and cut an opening for it, so I can tuck it under the cup handle.

See, what I mean?

Glued teh cut out cup onto the card base, added the spoon as well as the Hello into the center of the cup. I also added some shadows to give it some dimension. and added the sentiment. I don't know if you can see, that the sentiment is not parallel to the card. I saw it immediately and could not tolerate it. But I had put in too much effort to start over....

So I took a stitched border die and lined it up with the sentiment (used a ruler to make sure it is parallel) and die cut it. Mounted it onto a Kraft card base and added some white gel pen accents to the coffee foam. The other thing that happened, when I ran it trough my big shot to trim it it got a smudge. No big deal, I just added some more drops - you see them to the right of the spoon. Balances everything out, so a happy accident!

You may know this already, but just in case you don't.... We have a new feature here at So Suzy's.
Every month one of our DT members has a birthday you get on stamp with every order free.
This is Tracy's and Suzy's birthday month and THOSE are their stamps:
We also have a sale going on at this month:

Happy Stamping!
