Stamp Connection #15

Hi Everyone,

Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from Little Art Cottage and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together!

And we also have a guest this month - if you don't know Aileen Ryan from Color and Sparkle, you have really been missing out on some truly awesome card making goodness! I am so happy she agreed to join us this month! Welcome Aileen!

This time it was my turn to pick the requirements and I picked
"alcohol inks"

I used Yupo paper for this card. It is synthetic paper and the way the inks flow on this paper is just amazing! Of course I did some research on you tube.....I used brown, butterscotch and a turquoise green as my colors. First I made them flow and then I did some dropping, splattering and selective dotting.

Her is a more detailed view:

I absolutely LOVE how this turned out. You can create real depth with this technique. Of course I experimented quite a bit and you will see more cards in the future...
As you can see, I added a stitched frame (STAMPlorations), put the thanks (also STAMPlorations) on a torn strip of vellum and added some enamel dots.

Here is another view:

Lets check out  Tanja's and Aileen's artwork and leave them some love!

Linking up with:
30 day coloring challenge - day 7 for me
Snippets Playground - use a snippet (the vellum and the thanks)
AAA card challenge - stash favorite - alcohol inks (with such results, how can it not be my favorite!)

Happy Stamping!

Scrumptious! LOL! I want to put my fingers on it and 'feel' the depth that I can see and know must really be there. Well done!

Love the look of this. I had actually intended to have a little play with my new alcohol onks and Yupo paper today, but I had a very lazy day. I did a little colouring outside in the shade, but that was it. Still have to photograph the cards I created yesterday...

Very cool background. Love how you got the alcohol inks to flow ... and such gorgeous colours. Great design ... adding the vellum sentiment banner really lets all that gorgeous design of your card front show through. xx

I've never been a brown person but you've totally converted me. This color combo and the way you manipulated the inks is drop-dead gorgeous. As I type this, with my jaw on the floor, I'm mesmerized the depth and texture-y feeling of your card. I'm completely in awe...excuse me, have to go find the rest of my jaw.

Your background is seriously GORGEOUS. Wow!!!! The simple touch of the sentiment on a piece ot=f torn vellum is brilliant as well. Wonderful creation! Thanks for linking up and playing with us at AAA Cards Game 69.
